Cross Stitch Patterns of Greek Mythology
Designed by Amanda DeLong of BAD Stitch
This is a 36 page, full color booklet that is printed professionally on 8.5” x 11” 80lb paper with a
100lb soft-touch cover. It is compiled with center staples so that the booklet will stay open while
you are utilizing the patterns. All of the patterns are shown in color with distinct symbols, and
there’s an additional 5 pages that include pattern notes and tutorials on how to finish your
projects.
Patterns Included:
Set of Three Greek Amphoras. Hercules Versus the Hydra of Lerna. Sirens luring sailers.
Bellerophon capturing the Pegasus with the Golden Bridle.
Artemis – Greek Goddess of the Hunt, Childbirth, and the Moon, brandishing her bow under a
moonlit night. Includes backstitching detail of bow & Scorpius constellation.
Athena – The Greek Goddess of Wisdom, Warcraft and Needlework, represented by her
familiar owl wearing a tufted helmet.
Charon – Ferryman for the Dead, designed in vaporwave colors.
Eros & Psyche – The Greek God of Love & a mortal fall in love, and shenanigans ensue. This
pattern features DMC variegated floss, with a matching color scheme.
Fate – Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos, the wielders of the Thread of Life. These are three
different hands, depicting each Aspect of Fate, detailed with Greek style backstitching, with a
red thread of life extending through each. This can be stitched on one piece of fabric, or finished
in 3 separate hoops/frames with the red string of life connecting them. Detailed finishing
instructions to recreate this look are included.
Hermes – Greek God of wealth, language, commerce, travel, sleep, hospitality, and thievery!
His sigil is a caduceus, gifted to him by Apollo and he’s the Messenger and Herald of the Gods
of Mount Olympus.
Iris – Greek Goddess of the Rainbow, depicted with this cloudy pitcher pouring a rainbow.
Medusa – A misunderstood tragic tale of a woman scorned and then turned into a gorgon, and
later hunted. I’ve depicted Medusa here as a beautiful woman. There are two versions of this
pattern. One is full cross stitches, and the second utilizes backstitch as the details on the
snakes.
Persephone – Greek Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld. One of the most well
known stories is the kidnapping of Persephone by Hades, who had fallen in love with her at first
sight. This pattern shows a grey-scale heart filled with pomegranate seeds, the type that
ensured Persephone's entrapment in the Underworld for six months of the year.
Greek Font Sampler – This is a versatile pattern of a Greek style border and a backstitch font.
The pattern calls for a variegated floss for the border, but this can be customized to your
preference. The font can be used on your other Pantheon projects if you’d like to label the
Greek figures.
These patterns use the following:
Full cross stitches
Backstitching details
Variegated Floss
DMC floss
More notes!
Each Greek Entity has a small blurb about who they are and/or quotations and poetry about
their legacy in Greek Mythology.
